We inaugurate this section of LIFE FOREST CO2 project with excellent news.
The Mediterranean Regional Office of the European Forest Institute, EFIMED, included a reference to the LIFE FOREST CO2 project in its March Newsletter, reporting about the kickoff meeting carried during 26th and 27th of January in the city of Murcia (Spain). In this monthly Newsletter EFIMED includes the most important news of the month, highlighting those relevant in the context of Mediterranean forests.
This is an exceptional start for the project, as this Barcelona-based institution coordinates a network of more than 60 forest research institutions in 17 Mediterranean countries. Its main goals and objectives include the promotion of research on Mediterranean forests, forestry and forest products, networking, and support for policy development through scientific information, among others.
